Turn 4 Patches Into 16

Now that the holidays are past, there is more time for sewing. I have returned to working on my red and white quilt which was started last year. This block is commonly referred to as the Disappearing Four Patch. I don't get it. The finished block is 16 patches. Lol.
I am using as many red and white prints that I can find in order to have a scrappy look. Twenty-five blocks are completed.
This photo is an example of the layout that I will use.
I surprised myself on how I figured out the order of how to sew and press to get all the intersections to meet and twist so they lay flatter.
This week, I am excited to link for the first time to One Monthly Goal at Elm Street Quilts. I need a motivational deadline. This is the link up:  Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal January LinkupMy January Goal is to complete 20  more blocks which will add to a total of 45.

It's been awhile since I have linked with Esther Aliu's WIPS on Wednesdays, and I am delighted to participate again.
