Slow Heart

My slow heart stitching travelled out west on a recent trip. I slowly made it to the bottom of the heart. Yay! The progress made was while at the airport or on the plane as there was much beautiful scenery to view.

Every day the scenery was different while we travelled. I did not want to miss it.

View of Bear Lake in Utah

Tetons

Jenny Lake Grand Teton National Park

String Lake Grand Teton National Park

Today I join others at Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching link and shall continue filling in the background while watching golf's US Open. Hoping the complete the background this week.

I could not take my eyes off of that scenery either! Nice to have something to work on in airports and on planes. The heart project is just about done!

I can't decide which I like more : your scenic shots of the parks or your stitchery? Thanks for sharing and inspiring us all.

What a lovely trip -- I love the incredible scenery the US landscape affords -- it's so diverse! You did a terrific job catching some highlights. Your heart work is gorgeous! That's patient stitching, right there! :)

At times we felt like we were in a post card. Stitching sure helped the time fly, no pun intended ;-) while waiting. Background will be finished with only two more rows to go. Next is beading which jazzes the heart up nicely.

The name of the background stitch fails me. However, it tends to be easy (relaxing) and shows off the fancy stitches. Yes, we had fun. :-)

The scenery driving to the parks was also beautiful. Thanks for appreciating my stitching project.

We did have a lovely trip seeing only a part of the western U.S. Our national parks are beautiful and it is wonderful that they were designated as such. We were slightly ahead of the summer crowd. Soon I hope to add some beading to the heart which will most likely be the true test of my patience. Lol.

Such a pretty project! And the photos of your trip look amazing, beautiful scenery and those blue skies!

I am nearing the end of the project and am itching to do something new. The blue skies were amazing against the pine trees. Out west tends to have lower humidity than the midwest which I think (don't know for sure) adds to the clarity of the blue sky.

Glad you liked my travel pics. Thanks goodness our national parks have been preserved. I must admit we were visiting prior to the high summer season and we thought they were already crowded.
