My favorite part was the filling in the Christmas trees with green metallic fiber by Kreinik.
During the week, I visited a lovely lavender farm - a most delightful afternoon. Several varieties were available for picking. Loved the dark purple plants, however, another variety that was less ‘showy’ was more fragrant. I picked both. Lol!
Hope you find time to stop and smell the roses this week....opps....smell the lavender.

I have been watching Christmas movies this month and celebrating Christmas in July in my own way I think!!! I love a sentimental movie and got a free month of Netflix so Christmas in July just fit!!! lol I love your Santa progress and that metallic green christmas tree thread is divine!!! I am glad you enjoyed the lavender farm you went to ... how fun! What do you plan on doing with your harvested lavender?? Or did you bring home some plants to plant?? Have a great week and thanks for posting again.. I thoroughly enjoy your posts!! Kathi
That metallic green looks great on those trees. Santa is looking wonderful. That lavender farm is so pretty.
Well that is a blog post full of wonderfulness... slow stitching and lavender picking... perfect day!
Christmas movies were also on the Hallmark channel at the beginning of the month - I watched two - perhaps that is what put me in the mood. Lavender farm was divine and its only its 2nd year of being opened to the public. I am delighted I found it. Hope to dry the lavender buds and make sachets, but I don't think there will be enough buds. I do have 3 little plants in my little flower garden. Thanks Kathi!
Fortunately, there are a few more spots that the metallic green will go nicely. The lavender farm was pretty and at times the fragrance was in the air. Wonderful!
Yes, it was a wonderful day!
Your x stitch is definitely growing, good progress. The lavender looks gorgeous. I have three tubs by my front door and it is constantly buzzing with bees!
