French Poodle Stitching
This is a quick one photo post for the first Sunday of 2020. I so enjoy joining others at Kathy's linky party, "Slow Sunday Stitching" and I don't want to miss out! I'm making french knots for the poodles fur. They are coming out decent although the black thread does hide a flaw that may be here or there 😉. Admittedly, french knots and black thread are my least favorites to stitch, however, a groomed French poodle with 'curls' is a must. I've placed my quilting thimble next to him to best display his size. Perhaps by next weekend, all stitching will be complete on Paris, and there will be a reveal 🤞.
May we all accomplish lots of stitching this year!

I love that the poodle is being stitched with French Knots. How perfect and appropriate!
Jill... your great sewing wisdom has been a blessing to me... the curtains will get my focus next week... today I am slow stitching and blog reading too <3
I love your poodle and agree french knots is the way to go ... it is hard to get them where you want them all the time but use your needle tip to guide the knot as close to the fabric as possible before pulling it though... satin stitching by hand is my least favorite... I never can get it full enough before I am tired of it! lol Happy slow stitching that poodle and chat next week I hope :)

Beautiful stitching!
That thimble placement for perspective is brilliant... I cannot believe how tiny you are stitching!
Thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching and we look forward to the reveal!
Your french knots are just right for your delightful poodle. I like french knots but they can be tricky with some threads.
Oh, I think your little poodle is going to look adorable with a coat of black french knots. I am supposing that when he/she is finished with the grooming you will be sick of black french knots. =) Here's to oodles of happy stitching this year!
Thanks Cathie! He's all stitched.
Gosh, I was happy to assist you a tiny bit. At least, you have a start on curtains. It is a good day for slow stitching and reading.
Thank you Karrin! Only a few more stitches and it will be totally complete.
Needlepoint is sort of like cross stitch and/or embroider, but on canvas. This canvas is 18 point per inch. All your detailed embroidery stitches are small also. Hope you feel yourself real soon!
The french poodle is complete. He's nicely groomed and ready for a stroll down a Paris avenue!
The black french knot poodle coat was done in three sittings. It was easier on my patience (and eyes) doing it that way! He's all groomed neat & tidy and ready for a trip to Paris! Poodles & oodles are fun!
Your French poodle is gorgeous! I love doing French knots, there's something very satisfying about wrapping thread around a needle and producing a lovely little perfect knot!
Hi Sarah, I was happy how the poodle finished decent. A perfect fr knot is quite satisfying, but darn, I can’t relax while making them. Your visit from across the pond is appreciated!
