Last week I spoke of showing close photos of the various Santa needlepoint stitches. Admittedly, this is putting your handwork under a microscope for the whole world to view ~ scary. Here goes. I've added the common stitch names which may also have other names....uh.....just to confuse us 😉.

Put it all together with a variety fancy fibers
and Santa is complete 🤗

Paris looks complete, it's so pretty. Santa is gorgeous, it's interesting to see the detail. I think you did a great job on him and your close up photos prove it!
Thanks for the Santa close-ups. I just love how he looks. I hope you were able to work on Paris and finish the Arc de Triomphe.
I love the texture that adds to the 3 D look.
The Paris letters were stitched with a jet black fiber that had a bit of a silvery sheen. Thanks!
I am also pleased with how Santa turned out. Gosh, I really don't want to put him away for 11 months. Therefore, I'll console myself with finishing Paris. Thanks for visiting and happy new year!
Very good observation on Santa's texture and 3 D look. The needlepoint shop was helpful in that regards. Your comment is appreciated!
love seeing the embellishments on Santa, you really can't see it without the closeups - good job
Oh, your work is beautiful. What fun playing with all those textures.
Santa is only 8 inches tall, and it would be hard to see detail. I hope to get back to quilting soon. Happy New Year!
Thanks Kyle! It was fun and interesting doing the different stitches with different, fancy threads. I dread having to put him away. May you & yours have a Happy 2020!
