Since my last post, I was fortunate to have been able to go on my first bus tour group to Paducah for AQS's first Fall Show. It was a wonderful show and well worth a full day of travel. A highlight was seeing Teresa Rawson and her award winning quilt, Contentment. A bonus was that I happened to be there when she was interviewed by Bonnie Browning.
The people of Paducah are some of the friendliest people I have meet in one town. Our tour director made it possible to meet none other than The Quilt Man himself.
So many stunning and intricate quilts. There were plenty of vendors to purchase items that are not always available in the LQS. A variety of fat quarters, modern to repros, came home with me. I am favoring the repro cheddars as they are hard to find.

It’s amazing how much you can get done on a handwork project by just adding a few stitches a day!

I hope to get to Paducah someday. It has to be a destination trip for me though as it is much more than a day away. I love the fabrics that you bought.
Paducah was on my bucket list a long time. It was a challenge on figuring out how to get there. I had to drive an hour away in the wee early mornings to board the bus. The hotel was an hour away from Paducah. Perhaps, someday you will find a way to get there.

I continued slow stitching Santa today on Monday. I did feel lucky to make it to the show.
