Stitching for Christmas

Kathy of the popular Slow Sunday Stitching, a weekly hand stitching blog, inquired today if stitchers were working on gifts. Coincidentally, I cut a wool felt mitten and it is ready to be appliqued and given as an ornament and will double duty as a gift card holder. I was going to make more, yet hand stitching time is short. ☹️

Many years ago, I cross stitched a Christmas piece which I'd like to share. It comes out of storage every year.  When it was completed, I had it framed in its applicable frame which turned out to be a wise decision. I don't think I have the pattern anymore, and the cute little brick and mortar store has long since closed. It has little jingle bells, wood buttons and ribbon which give it dimension. I enjoy it.

During the past few weeks a bit of needlepoint has been accomplished. The Eiffel Tower is done.

Until next time,
Jill

I am almost positive that I have that Warm Hands kit! Isn't that a shame; I don't know what I've got! LOL! Congrats on the Eiffel Tower finish! Your Christmas cross stitch is darling! I love pulling out sweet treasures like that, year after year! :)

Never enough hours in the day, or season to finish all that we want. It's a beautiful framed piece. You do lovely work.

The Warm Hands kit are absolutely adorable. I purchased mine at an AQS show. I need to find the designer of my cross stitch Christmas project to give proper credit. Thanks for visiting!

How wonderful to have your gorgeous Christmas cross stitch picture to display each festive season. There is so little time to hand stitch before Christmas comes aknocking at our doors, isn't there. Loving the progress of your sweet Paris cross stitch.

I doubt if I could find a similar frame now. Thank you for visiting.

The best thing about my Christmas cross stitch picture is that it does not take up much room nor do I have to worry about breakage. It motivates to pick up cross stitch again but first I must finish Paris! I'm delighted that you stopped by for a visit and appreciate your comment!
