Last week I spoke of showing close photos of the various Santa needlepoint stitches. Admittedly, this is putting your handwork under a microscope for the whole world to view ~ scary. Here goes. I've added the common stitch names which may also have other names....uh.....just to confuse us 😉.

Paris looks complete, it's so pretty. Santa is gorgeous, it's interesting to see the detail. I think you did a great job on him and your close up photos prove it!

I love the texture that adds to the 3 D look.
The Paris letters were stitched with a jet black fiber that had a bit of a silvery sheen. Thanks!
I am also pleased with how Santa turned out. Gosh, I really don't want to put him away for 11 months. Therefore, I'll console myself with finishing Paris. Thanks for visiting and happy new year!

Santa is only 8 inches tall, and it would be hard to see detail. I hope to get back to quilting soon. Happy New Year!
