Sew Steady

Sewing steady while maintaining the course has been my motto this week.  It's working out well as progress was made on the yet-to-be-named red and white quilt. Using the walking foot and sewing straight lines is quite relaxing.

Cross stitching Lil' Miss Angel is coming along also. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that 32 count linen is possible for my aging eyes. Of course, I'm using magnifiers at 3.0 on top of my craft readers, and yes, I look like chic with all that eye wear ;-)

There have pleasant signs of spring this week.

Neighbor's cheerful bed of tulips
This past week the US Navy's Blue Angels flew over Metro Detroit as part of the their America Strong tour honoring front-line workers. We saw them from afar briefly as they fly by as fast as you can blink. Our view was not over Detroit but out in the suburbs. These are professional photos taken by a local publication.

Straight line quilting is perfect for your lovely quilt. Looks like spring in your neighborhood. Robin egg blue is a beautiful soft spring color. The Blue Angels also flew over my community as well. It makes you feel very proud.

The straight line quilting on your red and white quilt is lovely and your little cross stitch angel is sweet. I smiled at the picture I have of you with those oh-so-chic glasses on. How cool to see those Blue Angels fly overhead.

I think walking foot quilting can be as relaxing as slow stitching! It's the only machine quilting I do. You have a great start on your little angel! Thank the Lord for magnification!

I use a magnifier for the smaller count cross-stitch too. I am so glad that I can keep doing something I love. That angel is adorable. I really like that quilt too. We had the Blue Angels fly over Long Island a little more than a week ago. So cool. I really like your signs of Spring pictures. Made me smile.

I love the straight line quilting on you are doing on your red and white quilt... lovely!!! I am glad you can enjoy it... Your cross stitch is oh so lovely... my daughter says she is having a problem getting the spring inside the rubber hoop on her hoop so I am ordering her one like mine... we have arthritis and she also has small hands with poor fine motor skills for this kind of stuff.
I love your birdfeeder... we have one at a window for the hummingbirds :) I love your neighbors tulip display for sure!!! Very nice :D
Have a wonderful week and keep on keeping on... stay well too my friend!

I like straight line quilting too! I do like your spotty linen. Are you doing the cross stitch over two threads or one? I've tried various magnifiers but can't get on with them very well! I guess your blue angels are like our red arrows in the uk. Always great to see them do a fly pass. Take care
