Sauder Village Quilt Show 2014 Part 2

A few more photos of a few of the quilts that took my fancy at the 2014 Sauder Village Quilt Show in Archbold, Ohio.  The photos are in no particular order and there were many other pretty quilts.

Modern, bright and colorful.

This wall hanging looked like a painting.  Note the quilts on line.

This quilt had absolutely fine exquisite hand quilting and nary a ribbon.
I don't get it.

The featured instructor was Gyleen Fitzgerald who had
one of her Trash to Treasure Pineapple Quilts on display.

On the way home I found myself
stuck in traffic.
It took 50 minutes to travel 5 miles.
Three lanes of mostly semi-trucks.
Yes, the quilt show was worth it!

In two weeks I travel to Columbus, Ohio to attend the

I attended last year and it was wonderful!

Sauder Village Quilt Show 2014

This week I attended a very nice quilt show at Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio.  Quilts galore!

I've taken a few photos of just a few that caught my eye.  There were many more wonderful quilts, but I get overwhelmed and sidetracked by being surrounded by all the eye candy and apologize for not being able to feature them all.

A pleasant surprise was live beautiful background music from a baby grand piano.
One of the pianists played the theme song from Downton Abbey.  Wonderful!

Baltimore Rhapsody by Teresa at Fabric Therapy received a Blue Ribbon!  Now that I have seen it in person, I was amazed at the tiny applique details.  Beautiful!  The quilt drew quite a crowd throughout the day.

Brilliant jewel tones in this Amish style quilt

Whimsical Chicken Quilt which was so very clever.

The clothes were hung on a line.

Knock me over with a feather.  Rhett & Scarlett received an
Honorable Mention Ribbon.

More photos of Sauder Quilt Show to follow within a few days.
Again, I wish I could have photographed them all.

Oakland County Quilt Show Part 2

More photos of Michigan's Oakland County Quilt Guild's 2014 Show.  Below each full-view photo, is a picture of tag with name of maker.  It was a lovely show and I wish I could have taken photos of all the quilts. Thanks in advance for not pinning images on Pinterest.

Before, the eye candy begins, I would like to announce the recipient of the giveaway.   Terry's name (of Terry's Treasures) was randomly drawn this morning.  The Fons & Porter Fabric Mechanical Pencil will be on its way.  A big Thank You to all who commented.

Close-up of her exquisite hand quilting.

I am going to end the show photos with a different Aunt Millie's Garden than the one I first photographed in Part 1.  They are very similar with the red backgrounds.  I thoroughly enjoyed viewing them both.  I love this pattern by Piece O Cake Designs and I am seriously contemplating adding it to my bucket list.  I wonder how long it takes to make?

In a few days, I hope to travel to Sauder Village in Ohio for their quilt show.  I hope to post some more quilt photos.
